Love Trail Running Taster Weekend
Date and time
Location
Whitehough
Barley Pendle BB12 9LF United KingdomDescription
Event: Our 'Taster' weekend will be a very relaxed, social, fun weekend exploring some great trails in a beautiful place with friendly, like-minded people.
Level: Taster (Novice/Intermediate)
Is it for me? Our Trail Running Taster Weekend will be very, very accommodating with no pressure, whatsoever, to 'keep up'.
Unlike our 'Regular' Trail Running Weekends which though social, are challenging, 'Taster' weekends are aimed specifically at those who like the idea of such a weekend but ultimately are put off by their perceived difficulty.
All the stunning, scenic routes are much shorter than our 'Regular' weekends, but as you'd expect, they'll be every bit as enjoyable - just more manageable and adaptable. This helps facilitate our number one goal of everyone having a good time together. That doesn't mean that they're all completely flat with no obstacles though! We pride ourselves on making routes that will work for you - if you've been on one of our 10km Tasters, chances are you already know that!
A Weekend To Remember:
Friday: The Weekend begins at 6pm on the 16th August. The first of our three awesome guided runs is a rewarding 7km route that finishes with a fantastic meal in a great pub/resturant.
Saturday: After a hearty breakfast, we'll set off on a cracking route of up to 15km that conveniently finishes at a fab Cafe. Once there, you can enjoy a well earned lunch and possibly a delightful coffee and cake! There'll be no running on a full stomach though, so once everyone's embraced a good rest, you'll be transported back to your respective accommodation. Everyone can freshen up and relax for a few hours before we head out to a local restaurant for a social evening meal.
Sunday: We'll tuck into another hearty breakfast, setting us up nicely for the last of our guided trail runs. We've a great 10km route planned that takes in the quirky Sculputre Trail and includes a coffee stop at around halfway. There'll be the chance to finish your morning on the trails there around 5km in, but if you're feeling good you can add to your exploration and enjoy another 5km of glorious guided trails to complete the 10km route. Whether you've done 5km or 10km on the third and final day, you'll have worked up an appetite for lunch, and that's what we'll have ready for you back at Whitehough.
Please note: All runs are optional - you can do as much, or as little as you like!
What’s included with both our accommodation options:
Two nights' accommodation.
Three fantastic guided trail runs.
Breakfast on Saturday & Sunday morning.
Lunch on Sunday afternoon.
Transportation back from Saturday's run.
Drinks and snacks on all the runs.
An awesome LTR Goodie Bag.
